As someone who has recovered from an eating disorder, I recognized early on in OT school the benefits OT can have on someone with an eating disorder. At the time, I had no idea the crucial & unique role OT plays in eating disorder intervention.
I created an online educational program to educate healthcare professionals about occupational therapy's unique & important role in eating disorder intervention.
Many healthcare professionals today don't know the crucial role OT plays in eating disorder intervention, including those who work in the setting. I want to change that.
